AWG economics
Atmospheric Water Generator Energy Consumption
How to evaluate AWG electricity use, kWh per liter, operating cost and what solar power does—and does not—change.
Energy is one of the core feasibility constraints
Active atmospheric water generation is not “free water” simply because the moisture comes from ambient air. Cooling, fans and supporting components require power.
Useful metrics
| Metric | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| kWh/day | Shows total daily electrical demand. |
| Liters/day | Shows daily collected output. |
| kWh/L | Connects energy directly to water produced. |
| Cost/L | Applies your actual electricity price to real output. |
Solar does not remove the energy requirement
Running from solar changes the energy source, not the underlying demand. A solar design still needs sufficient generation, power electronics and, if required, storage to support the load when you plan to operate it.
